American manufacturing jobs are not coming back

I am going to talk to the class about the topic which we covered last time. I think this news relates to the Charles’s book. Mid-level jobs such as manufacturing have been taken to China, so the middle class in the US has been losing the jobs. According to this video, in China, they work faster and better. It sounds like that to me, both countries have people who are looking for jobs but people in fishtown US, cannot go to college because of the quality of education they receive and income levels. There is a difference. Thus, I believe that it is one of the reasons of the increase of the number of people in fishtown, US.

  1. I agree that there are a lot of people in bad situations in both countries. It's not so much that the Chinese workers work "better," it's because they often more willing to do the same job with less health care benefits and wages as their American counterparts.

So as college degrees become more neccessary for the available jobs in the American workforce, the people in fishtown are left behind.

It's often argued that a lot of Americans don't want those jobs which require skills such as manufacturing and hard labor, but I completely disagree. Many Americans would love to have any job as long it has decent benefits, as is the right of any full-time worker in this country.

Companies cheat the system by either taking advantage of undocumented workers here or taking their jobs overseas in places where they can get away with taking advantage of the workers there. I think this is a big problem.
